American Tech Entrepreneur Talks Chicago Business on ‘Panorama’
Howard Tullman Joins Charlie Meyerson for Exclusive Feature
CHICAGO – Seasoned entrepreneur Howard Tullman is shaping the startup landscape in Chicago. As the current CEO of 1871, Tullman provides Chicago startups affordable workspace and access to mentors, potential investors and a community of like-minded businesspeople.
In an interview available today on Rivet News Radio, Chicago’s Tullman discussed his latest entrepreneurial venture with Panorama host Charlie Meyerson.
“I’m very proud that our first 26 companies that we just graduated have created 300 jobs and raised 30 million dollars. These are real businesses. And now they’ll be replaced by more and new startups.” Tullman said. “[At 1871] I expect to be a big part of the mayor’s initiative, which is to create 20-30,000 new jobs in the technology sector in the next decade.”
Throughout his run as an entrepreneur, Tullman successfully established 12 companies, including Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy, CCC Information Services, Tunes.com, the Rolling Stone Network, Imagination Pilots and Experiencia. He also acts as a trustee of WTTW in Chicago and an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Evanston.
Tullman is the latest guest on Rivet News Radio’s signature program. Previous features go in-depth with City of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Better Government Association CEO and President Andy Shaw, Author Andy Friedman, and more.
